Last week, Lieutenant Kristi Bartlett (Fire Station 40, Fairfax Center) donated her time and participated in the Fire and Ice Burn Camp in Portland, Maine. The camp, for kids who range in age from 8 to 18, encompasses four days and provides activities such as skiing, rock climbing, horseback riding, and survival skills training. Campers are with other children who, like them, have sustained burn injuries.
Lieutenant Bartlett has also been active in local burn camps.
A tip of the fire helmet to Lieutenant Bartlett for donating her time, and expense, to try and make a positive difference in the lives of these young survivors.
