At approximately 2:33 a.m. on Sunday, November 20, units were dispatched for a report of a house fire in the 1000 block of Northfalls Court in the Great Falls area of the County.
Units arrived on scene of a two-story, single family home with heavy fire showing from multiple floors. Crews initiated an attack on the fire from the exterior of the home due to the large volume of fire.
There were no occupants home when the fire occurred. A passerby saw flames from Route 7 and called 911. Red Cross assistance was offered and is not being utilized at this time. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.
Investigation into the fire determined that the fire started in a second floor bedroom area with the exact cause still under investigation.
Damages were estimated to be $726,250.00 which is the current total value of the home.
