At approximately 4:41 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue deployed a Wilderness Taskforce for an injured hiker on a trail in the Clifton area of the County.
Units arrived and staged at Hemlock Overlook Regional Park. Fire Station 16, Clifton, units were deployed as the Recon Team and located the victim on the trail, about a quarter mile from the road. Crews initiated treatment and packaged the patient for transport. They then carried the patient out to the road.
One adult patient was then transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
