On June 17, at approximately 3:10 p.m., units responded to the 7900 block of Foote Lane for reports of a house on fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke and fire showing from the single-family home. An aggressive attack was conducted and the fire was brought under control. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.
The house had smoke alarms that activated after the fire had been discovered by an occupant of the home. There were five occupants home at the time of the fire. Two adults and 11 juveniles have been displaced and will be receiving assistance from the Red Cross. Total loss of property is estimated at $25,000.
The fire originated in the living room. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
