Computer Causes Falls Church House Fire, Injures One

Units responded to a house fire Sunday, November 22, 2015, at approximately 1:20 a.m., in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County. The single-family home is located at 3140 Row Street.

Firefighters encountered heavy smoke coming from the door on the first floor and the basement door of the one-story home upon arrival. Crews conducted an aggressive fire attack and quickly extinguished the fire. The occupants escaped the home without injury. The home had working smoke alarms. The occupants were not displaced. One adult man was transported to the Washington Hospital Burn Center with non-life threating injuries. 

Damage is estimated $20,000.

According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. A home computer in the basement caused the fire.
