One Occupant and One Dog Rescued During Overnight Fire

At approximately 4:30 a.m. today crews responded to a single family home at 7113 Sylvan Glen Lane in the Fairfax Station area of the county.

First arriving crews encountered smoke coming from the home.  An aggressive fire attack and search was initiated resulting in one occupant and dog being found and removed from the structure.  The occupant and dog were transported immediately with life threatening conditions.

Investigators from the Fire Marshal’s Office are on the scene working to determine the cause of the fire.  Damage assessments have not been set.
