Units responded to a townhouse fire Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at approximately 11:25 a.m. The single-family townhouse is located at 3141 Bayswater Court.
Firefighters encountered light smoke coming from the two-story, end unit townhome upon arrival. Firefighters conducted an aggressive fire attack and quickly extinguished the fire on the second floor and attic area. No one was home when the fire broke out. There were no working smoke alarms in the home. Two occupants have been displaced. Red Cross is assisting both occupants. There were no injuries.
Damage is estimated at $37,500.
According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. An exhaust fan in the second floor bathroom caused the fire.
