Units responded to a townhouse fire, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at approximately 3:20 p.m., in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County. The single-family home is located at 2125 Dominion Heights Court.
Firefighters encountered smoke and fire coming from the top floor of the two-story, middle unit townhome upon arrival. Firefighters extinguished the fire in approximately 10 minutes. Sounding smoke alarms alerted the occupants allowing them to escape unharmed. The four occupants have been displaced and will receive Red Cross support.
Damage is estimated at $37,500.
According to fire investigators, the fire was accidental. An electrical converter box placed too close to combustibles caused the fire.
