Congressman Gerry Connolly will be the keynote speaker for the 138th Recruit School graduation, Friday, June 12, 2015, at 7 p.m., held at W.T. Woodson High School, 9525 Main Street, Fairfax.
For approximately six months, 44 recruit firefighters have been undergoing extensive training. Firefighters were trained to respond to fires, hazardous materials incidents, vehicles crashes and extrications, swift water rescue, confined space rescue, and emergency medical incidents. These firefighter/EMT and firefighters/paramedic recruits will officially become professional firefighters upon graduation.
Congressman Connolly represents Virginia’s 11th Congressional District, and was previously the Chairman, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, and also represented the Providence District as District Supervisor, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
