Today, USA-1 personnel continued to conduct searches throughout Kathmandu. Despite finding no live victims, personnel were able to assess the necessity for humanitarian relief, which was forwarded to UN coordination staff. Our engineers were able to provide structural assessments for several buildings within a military complex, six key bridges, and a hotel utilized by UN and disaster relief staff. Several medical personnel visited and liaised with the Israeli Field Hospital, set up a few miles south of the team’s Base of Operations. Team leadership continues to meet with the USAR coordination cell to obtain new work assignments.
