On April 7, 2015, a resident contacted Station 413, Dunn Loring, seeking assistance rescuing their injured Bernese Mountain dog who had just had surgery. The dog was trapped in a trench beneath their deck. To rescue the dog, the crew had to excavate the dirt leading into the trench. The crews then utilized a sked device to slide underneath the dog to safely remove her from the trench. This unusual call required a true team effort to safely rescue another one of our four-legged friends! Dog, family, and crew are all doing fine!
